Launched in 2015, the Magharibi Michezo Awards has become a prestigious annual event recognizing the remarkable achievements of athletes from Western Kenya. This event has been graced by regional governors, top sports personalities, and industry leaders, including Carol Radull, Innocent Simiyu, Allan Wanga, and officials from the Ministry of Sports and Culture.

Western Kenya has long been a hub of exceptional talent in sports, arts, film, and music. However, the lack of structured systems for talent identification and development has hindered many promising artists from reaching their full potential.

Despite the abundance of raw talent, the region lacks a strategic framework to harness and promote its creatives on the global stage. In collaboration with industry players and promoters, we are igniting conversations on how to showcase and celebrate our talent worldwide.

We have championed and supported the production of viral music projects that blend culture and modernity. A prime example is "Mbe Omukhasi" by Steve, a cultural fusion hit that has garnered over 2.4 million views on YouTube, amplifying the rich musical heritage of the region.
